side of the record. The A-side is what he says in the room at 3 a.m.; the B-side
is what he tells his mother on a collect call from the pay phone: that he’s fine,
that it’s caught up, that she can stop praying now. It’s the one song here you
could play for her - which is the whole joke, and none of it.
