The Dependency Graph

A trio, allegedly, though no two sources agree on which three people. The Dependency Graph plays nervy, angular post-punk in odd meters, each part useless on its own and load-bearing in combination - a bassline that imports a guitar line that imports a drum part that, three songs later, imports the bassline back.

Their debut LP Circular Import was recorded live to two-inch in a single night and has no overdubs, because, per the band, “you can’t patch a cycle, you can only ship it.” It is the most that has ever been made of a software error by people who may not use software.

Whether the trio resolves is left as an exercise for the listener.
